Started a new job today.

After 3 months of not working I started a new job today. I quit my old job after having severe anxiety and quitting out of no where.

After getting my meds figured out I’m starting to feel a bit better. I honestly don’t feel 100% ready to work but I have no choice. I have so many bills and rent to pay. I’m so behind.

Work went well but I kept getting heart palpitations which would freak me out so bad. I’ve been getting them for years but over the past few months the palpitations have been more extreme. I feel like i can’t catch my breathe when they happen. I’m sure it’s beczuse I’ve been so stressed...but it really messes with me.

I keep getting chest pains and twitches...

I’m so nervous to go back to work tomorrow

I’m on Effexor, have been for about a month....just needed to talk abou what I’m going through...

Could use some reassurance too....

Will these stupid heart palpitations and twitches and headaches ever go away....

Have you had your iron levels checked? Anemia will cause palpitations. I have anxiety and I started getting heart palpitations and panic attacks, turns out I was anemic. Getting on carbonyl iron fixed that. I had to take 5 melts a days for a few weeks. Now I take a melt every day for maintenance.

I just checked my blood test that was done a few months ago. On a scale of 40-190 mcg my iron is at 43. So not super low I guess?

I'm sure you'll become more relaxed as the job becomes more routine. Give yourself some

time. A new job is always rough at the beginning.

What kind of work do you do that has you so stressed? Also,, have you talked to a regular MD?
