Celebrity Suicides

So, I haven't felt so low in a while and Im wondering if anyone else is having a noticeable hard time now especially with the large amount of attention being given as a result of the celebrity suicides?

If you’re having a hard time in your life right now, I am very sorry your going through this, it’s hard, and this is a good place to be and talk about what’s going on in your life...

You know....honestly, I didn't know the fashion designer gal, or the band members, that were lost, but I did watch Anthony for many years....but most people wouldn't know him much before the media hype over his passing splashed all over everywhere...Not that many people cared before. What I do know is the media has glamorised and capitalized on a subject as serious as suicide, which should instead be seriously discussed in schools and in whatever venue would take the stigma out of the subject, and concentrate more on finding more solutions rather than the shock jock value it generates for publicity. I'm disgusted at the media over this as it has generated a 24% increase in calls to hotlines that I feel were more so instigated, that may otherwise not have been on the front burner of most people’s minds. But to see all the attention this subject generates may be the attention seeking device some are now exploiting. It's terribly sad, and if any of these poor souls displayed in the media were my family, I would be disgusted.

No I don’t feel any more depressed than usual. I feel sorry for the celebrities that commit suicide. Everyone has something going on in life.

Yes, it had an effect on me. Then, I remembered Emily Dickinson's brief poem "I am nobody". I think that's the answer to everything. Perhaps you will enjoy googling and picking an image you particularly like. I have also been praying to St. Anthony throughout this time in preparation for his feast day tomorrow. I like the videos being produced by St. Anthony messenger at the basilica.
