this Saturday is the summer ball to mark the end of my degree. I really want to go.. I've bought a dress, my ticket ...ect. But now the event is so close all I can think about it how crowded it is going to be, what people will think when they see that I'm not drinking, having to walk home afterwards in the dark. Each day this week there's been a new worry about the event. I'm sick of my anxiety holding me back. Any tips to stop the worrying taking over??

My suggestions are order virgin drinks.. virgin margarita.. Shirley temple... these look like alcoholic drinks but do not have any. Maybe splurge for a cab ride home ? It might be worth it especially if you are all dressed up.. and you won't feel so alone...

Hi if it helps then I will say others will not be thinking of you at all and probably won't even notice you aren't drinking! They will be much too busy thinking about themselves.
