So I have Ocd with intrusive thoughts. I was wondering if anyone can help me understand this. I know this is an anxiety disorder. So if my anxiety lifts or lessons will the thoughts occur less? I've accepted the thoughts as Ocd, and dont fear them as much. They just appear frequently and I let them go as best as I can. But I still have anxiety even without the thoughts. So now that I'm working on acceptance, which is really hard to do; should I see my Dr again about getting some anti anxiety medication? Please any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks!

hi, it probably wouldn't do any harm to see your doc again. sounds like you have been working really hard and have made progress. make sure to sing your own praises! when anxiety lessens, yes, other horrible symptoms lessen too. quality of life is so much better when you can manage anxiety and identify your triggers and symptoms.
Hi deborah27. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my post. I believe I've identified what my triggers are. Will ani anxiety medication ease the frequency in which I have these thoughts? The thought itself isn't as bothersome anymore. Just the amount of times is repeats in my head is an annoyance. Thank you for reminding me to be hopeful and sing my own praises!! I will make another appointment with my Dr..
