Friends

Lately I’ve been having problems with my friends. I have seizures and they treat me like I’m different and I know they are just trying to be nice but it gives me so much anxiety that they treat me differently then other people in my class like I’m still human

I'm sorry skkemeter...have you tried talking with your friends and saying exactly what your posting here...I think it's worth saying if they are friends...they may actually be relieved your giving them the opportunity to know how to talk to you about this....sometimes people don't know what to do or say....talking with them may be exactly what you need to clear the air.

I’ve tried talking to them about it but I feel like they are hearing me but they are not listening ya know

I do know.... well.... maybe they don't know what to say...sometimes that happens and it's no reflection on you, or anything personal....give yourself a bit of space around it, don't worry about what they think...they probably don't understand to much about what your trying to explain to them, and that's just how it is sometimes, but your not alone.

It's really great your sharing here to hopefully fill in those gaps...it's the same for a lot of us here too...we really don't have many in our real world lives to talk to about our stuff. Here many can relate to what your saying....and they are kind and compassionate people...it's safe to talk about how your feeling.
