Taking a small break (as in tiny!) lol

Hi all, Brian here. Just wanted to say I will be taking a short break from the site.

Before anyone goes all ballistic on me again, let me explain.... lol

I belong to an online gaming community that is involved with the only online game I play called World of Warships. The game uses actual naval vessels ranging from the turn of the 20th century through the early years of the Korean War. Now, there are no bloody bodies all over the place or anything like that. lol You just get to wreck ships lol Plus, the game teaches you different skill sets for playing each ship type (Aircraft Carriers, Battleships, Cruisers and Destroyers). Even some specific ship types of certain nations have an even more precise skill set to learn. For me, it can a wonderful stress release. I feel it can be a constructive way to vent frustration and stress. Plus, you're just blowing up ships, not people. Who here has ever wanted to lower the boom on a metal target before? lol Anyway.....I've been playing this game for over two and a half years and I've belonged to this gaming community for just over two years. For at least a year, playing the game has gotten to be extremely difficult. The fact is, this ol' laptop of mine simply can't handle it anymore. lol It's been frustrating my clanmates to play with me because I kept getting kicked out of the game and couldn't get back in. It was maddening lol So the leadership of the clan chipped in and they bought me a gaming computer. That's right. The whole setup cost around $750-800 dollars. My jaw hit the floor! And I still haven't fully tested it out yet. So, to use a naval expression, I'm gonna take it out on a shakedown cruise lol. Really put it through its paces lol. I'm telling ya....random acts of kindness.......they do exist!

So, if you don't see me replying or posting, I'm taking my new toy for a spin lol. Don't worry, though, I'll be back real soon

Wow, that's pretty awesome of the other players! Are they all local? If local, do you guys/gals meet and go out together? I know that's one of your weaknesses. I've always been shy too, I've learned though to open up a lot more. Humor, as you've said, helps to break the ice and can break the boundaries.

I notice you are a Star Trek fan and posted some Rush songs too. Very cool! I'm a Rush fan (and metal, 70s prog hard rock, etc.)
