How to help boyfriend with grief I suffer from depression
Hi ashwaifu.. It is okay to feel sad and hopeless sometimes. Life wouldn’t always be okay, not as much we wanted to. But getting through a struggle in life is worth living. I know losing someone is hard to deal with, then added that mental health issues you’ve got, it becomes heavier. But please, take good care of yourself. Aside from doing it for your family, do it for your boyfriend, because he badly needs you right now.. I know you’ll get through this, that you can do it. You are fine. You are normal. We all have weakness and turning points in life. We only need to fully accept and embrace things. Accept what is gone, embrace your mental health issues. And as you learned to embrace them, you will know that you need to focus on getting better and be free from this issues. Have faith ash. You’ll get through this. Hope it helps.
Really the best thing you can do for your boyfriend is be supportive, and listen. We never know how death or loss effects someone, only they do. It's a deeply personal thing and everyone starts the recovery process differently.
Hello Ash, bereavement is something we all go through and we work through it in our own time and in our own way. I lost my Mum recently too. I think all you can do is be supportive of each other and be there for when you're Boyfriend wants to talk. Do take care of your Own mental health though. This time will pass. Best wishes. D.
