Made it to work

I made it to work today but I am having so much panic and anxiety. I just want to sit at my desk and cry.

You cleared a major hurdle by getting to work. You remind me so much of my daughter as she struggled with extreme anxiety while in grad school and working part-time. The struggle continues but it has gotten better.There are so many things that are suggested for the relief of anxiety and panic attacks, but I think both time and willingness to continue face extreme stress situations helped my daughter. Just take baby steps and if possible, try to remove yourself from the situation for a while to calm down and breath. Have faith and know that you will survive. We are all rooting for you!

I don't have anything to add to what Delta1 said, but want to echo the same sentiments about your achievement in making it to work, the fact that in doing so you are actually building strength (though it probably feels exactly the opposite right at the moment), that baby-steps do strangely win marathons, and that yes, we ARE rooting for you.

I am glad you posted about your struggle today, because I struggle too, and your sharing your own difficulties really helps to validate that my struggles are also very real and normal for many, not just me, so thank you for being here.
