So frustrated

Last night, as always quite relaxed and even felt hungry. I have cracked it I thought. How stupid I was and how depressing to find back on the force feeding at breakfast. Managed egg, a few tomatoes and a slice of toast and a small banana. Maybe my Maths is wrong but totalled it to 155 ish calories. Trying to aim for 400 a meal. Can't tolerate milk so it is very hard.

Any suggestions please?

Thank you.

Hi I have checked online and found the following.

1 slice of bread 53 calories (without butter or marge)

1 banana (average size) 89 calories

1 tomato 18 calories

1 egg 155 calories

Total 315 calories.

That seems quite good to me! x

Thank you so much for going to all that effort, so many calorie counts seem to vary. Since then I have managed a small chicken burger a few chips and a handful of peas, followed by a small chocolate bar.

I want to see if my jelly legs are due to eating issues which have been going on for nearly three months after antibiotics, with low calorie intake, or whether it is indeed anxiety.

Touch wood I am no longer gagging over food so there is progress albeit slow. Fear food has become such an issue that I am getting obsessive.

Am beginning to distinguish the subtle differences, for instance just I had a panic when I couldn't get the internet to work for over an hour. The weakness, tingling and what ifs all came surging. No wonder I am shattered by about 4pm

Hope you are having a good day and thank you for your kindness.

No worries as it was interesting actually. I need to lose weight and I didn't realise some things I thought were very low calories were higher.

I reckon your second meal was a lot higher though.... x

Ha ha if only. Just ten chips and a handful of peas. Knew the chocolate with lactose intolerance was a bad idea, now feeling utterly miserable with stomach cramps. Why oh why is what I crave so bad for me. Again it just sets up the vicious circle of anxiety. Just want to make the 1200 mark.

Don't forget the chicken burger. I reckon that's all at least around 500 calories! x

If only according to the packet it is 110. Maybe if I used a magnifying glass it would make the value higher!!

Starches. Pastas, grains, potatoes. Foods with a decent fat content make a person feel full much faster. (That's why the food industry pushes low fat as diet food. It's way higher in calories and it doesn't stop a person from feeling hunger, so they actually eat more, NOT less. Pissed me off, but knowledge is power. Low fat processed foods will F you up. PERIOD.)

Firestone, some people who are lactose intolerant CAN tolerate kefir, but many can't. YMMV, but most who can tolerate it make their own. The kefir grains consume all the sugars in milk if you double fement it at ideal temps (71°F for most kefir strains) for 24 hours both times. I only mention it because stuff like lactic is SO expensive. Kefir mayor may not work for you, and as you know, finding it can be, not very fun if it turns out to not work for you. :/

It sounds lime you are saying your weight needs to increase some? If so, the fact that fats make a person feel full faster may help to keep yourself feeling hunger a bit longer when you are able to tolerate a meal. Hang in there and keep the faith.
