Going med free?

I'm ready to give it a go. Anybody have experience?

I'm on 20mg Lexapro, 0.5 Klonopin.

Trying to taper and working with a counselor.

I’ve suffered from depression my whole life and recently anxiety. Tried lots of meds the past couple of years with not much luck. Recently got on 10mg of Lexapro and I can see it helping. Checking in next week with psychiatrist and may see if I could benefit more if at 15 mg. Still have a little anxiety that mostly disrupts my sleep. Took clonazepam before and it helped me sleep to a certain extent but not enough for me to keep taking it. Good luck! Hope the meds help you!

I'm going off them. I've been on lexapro for 5 years. Klonopin off and on for 4.

Oh I misunderstood. Is it under doctor supervision? I would say try to wean yourself off. I don’t think you are suppose to just quit cold turkey.

If you're going to try this, it's good that you're working with a counselor. I tried doing it solo many years ago, tapering off from Celexa 40mg. I ended up having to go back on. What is your reason for weaning yourself off the medication?
