I've had panic attacks since I was 19 and I'm 44 now. Been taking klonopin for 25 years. I have been drinking on klonopin for 25 years. Does anyone have a similar problem. Also my anxiety is 100x worst the next day and usually have to take more klonopin because of fear of panic attacks. Been wanting to drink more lately but have been afraid because of the fear of panic the next day. Also mixing benzo's with alcohol. Can anyone relate?

It's the vicious cycle of addiction. Your doctor wouldn't prescribe more klonopin if he knew that you are drinking too. I suggest you look for mental health help and get into some addiction recovery program. First detox, then rehab, then smart recovery meetings. I had a very close friend with the same problem, so I'm familiar. Wish you all the best. Take care
Thanks for the info and support.
Addiction is a bummer, I love wine, but if I drink I am so messed up, or the next day feel like hell, so I have put it in the cupboard and will not buy anymore. I miss it I have been drinking for decades. Be good to yourself, consider going to AA. Get it our of the house and find something else to drink, I have found some very nice soda water with different flavors and I mix it with tonic water. Good luck to you, there is help out there - go find it. With love and peace. Sprinkle 1
Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. I have an alcohol problem for years, which I consider self-medication. I have been on anti-depressants for many years. Alcohol is a depressant, therefore my anti-depressants won't work properly. I have Klonopin for anxiety as well. YES I am WAY worse the next morning after drinking. Like so anxious I don't want to get out of bed. I am now cutting back, and starting therapy. It's very dangerous as well to drink with these types of medications. I hope you will also try to seek therapy or find a way to cut back on the alcohol. My best to you <3 I know how difficult it is.
