Does anyone else struggle to have hope that things will get better? I always struggle bad at night with my anxiety and the feeling of panic and dread sets in and end up feeling like a failure.
I try so hard to stay strong but sometimes it all gets to much and then I feel guilty for feeling how I do.

Thank you for your response. I have tried CBT a couple of years ago but I found it difficult to open up and talk about certain things that have happened and the therapist would sit in silence and because of that it was difficult for me to talk so I stopped going. Maybe I'll look into trying it again as opening up and talking about experiences and feelings sometimes feels like a release instead of it building up inside.
Do Not waste time on guilt, in the eve. you are probably tired both mentally and physically. I would suggest you seek out help either from your doctor or even a Psychologist. They know a lot more about our brain than we do, and we so often blame ourselves, go and find the help you need. My saying is if I drive a Mercedes, I won't take it to the Volkswagen for repair. And let me tell you it works, my Dr helped me, but I was so bad I needed the specialist. Think about it - don't you deserve the best? I wish you well, Peace and Success. Sprinkle 1.
I think night is the worst! When other people relax and maybe watch tv or read, I try to do those things but thats when I feel every physical symptom and that turns into a full anxiety attack almost every night. I try to find a routine of things to calm me. It is a true struggle and I too then feel bad as I am not very fun company to my family and unable to truly engage with them.
I have made a list of all the times when I was scared to do certain things and pushed myself to do them and ended up overcoming my anxiety and having a good time. This list makes me believe that I can be happy in the future too.
