Ready to accept and lend support

Hi! I'm here because I've been diagnosed with anxiety and depression about ten years ago and treated myself into becoming a healthier and happier person. But for the past year I've been falling off the wagon again and decided it's time to do something. I hope being here helps give me support to overcome this and also to be able to support others in the same situation.

I am in a similar boat as you! Sometimes I think we would know how to deal with things already but man, does life keep you on your toes. Keep on pressing on! So glad you're here fighting and open to help and helping others

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm doing my best to deal with each issue that comes my way. Hoping your fight is becoming less burdensome by being here.

Hi and welcome,

Great news that you were able to treat yourself. I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago and I was in an awful state that I needed help from my GP. I have ups and downs, but I am working towards my goal of getting back to work and also to come off the medication that I am on as well.

Hopefully you'll find that the discussions on here will remind you of techniques that you have used before and forgotten about or you will find new techniques as well. :-D

Take care.

Thanks, I have decided to start exercising again. It'll be difficult because I don't feel like doing much these days. But I know that after some time if I keep at it and see progress, it'll help me mentally as well. I've also been considering doing a master's degree but I'm taking things one step at a time.

Good to hear you are off medication. I think it's better to know you are helping yourself and not dependent on drugs in any form. I hope you are strong enough to stick to your goals and continue to talk about struggles when they occur- I find this helpful to both the talker and the listener.
