Looking for support group

I am in my fifties, live near Las Vegas. I am looking for a support group. I am depressed. One year ago I left an abusive marriage after both my parents (that I took care of for three years) passed away. Two of my four kids have little to no interest in me, the other two are very busy and have no understanding of my situation and I am so glad they don't. I have a few aqaintances but don't feel comfortable sharing much with them. I live near a very small town that has no real support groups. I can't find a job. Need a friend to talk with.

Hi, we travel through Vegas often. Are you off of the 95? Or somewhere else? I am in my fifties also. I live in Sparks Nevada. I became depressed earlier this year after moving from our hometown in Ca. I have 3 grown kids who all live in Ca. I didn't realize before the move how little we would get to see them. I've been working with my husband driving truck for the last 18 years. I think the job is adding to my depression. I would love to find a local job to where I could be around people every day, but I feel like I'm to old, so I haven't even tried.

I do not know anyone close to where we moved to, so when we are home all I do is cry. It's not really my home.

I know I am not a group, I am just one person, but maybe we can start something up through this site if there's others with similar issues.

Hi, I actually live a bout 70 miles away from Vegas but go there about once a week.

I come from the SF Bay Area. Lived there for over 45 years then came to Nevada to be closer to my daughter and family.

She is a very busy person so I don't get to see her as much as I wish. My 3 sons are still in the Bay Area.

I am sorry you are so sad. Maybe we could start be being pen pals?!

Church out there got support Calvary chapels Las Vegas nevada I live in California and are church has support group for women divorce or abused different types of groups but there a blessing something to consider.

I'm in the UK but it has long been one of my dreams to go to USA, especially Las Vegas. If I could stay with one of you I would love to join you. xx
