Link between PTSD and psychosis?

Just curious as to the extent of the link between the two, I'd ask my therapist if I didn't turn mute so easy talking to people. Anyways a lot of triggers set off false memories or things like nightmares when I'm awake. I know they're not real, but they feel like it so bad, they're like movies playing in my mind. Does anyone know more on the topic they could tell me? It really leaves me struggling, especially since so much of what triggers set off never happened
