I've been having a lot of trouble with getting rest, how do you rest postponed anxiety?

restless
In other words, trying to rest after anxiety
Awww I was confused aswell.
I personally feel it's different for everyone. A lot of people use breathing techniques but i haven't found one that works for me. It may have stuff to do with my breathing issues.
But I read sometimes. I read things that calm me down. I watch YouTube videos of someone explaining things that help me calm down. Have you spoken to a doctor about your anxiety and ways to cope?
I haven't discussed anything with a doctor yet, I am still trying to find one. I binge watch makeup tutorials etc on youtube but not much has helped. I once tried this app by the name of "calm" it worked before I tried installing it again and try breathing techniques etc and it's just not working. I use to be a book worm myself, unfortunately, my attention isn't as strong anymore to focus for however long I feel the need to.
I know someone who listens to YouTube ASMR videos, but they drive me insane. I have trouble doing just the breathing techniques. I usually listen to "white noise" or classical music while doing breathing techniques or a form or guided imagery.
Thanks so much, I'm about to give it a try and see how that works for me.
Are those videos called ASMR sleep?
I just went to youtube and searched ASMR, im not sure which ones are good. some people like different ones, just keep trying them till you find out if you like them or not.
thanks again
There are many different types of asmr. I myself use asmr sometimes and it does wonders for me on occasion. Like the one who suggested it said it's not for everyone.
Sleep asmr is probably the most commonly used. But asmr in general (to my knowledge) is designed to provide you something they call "tingles" in the videos. I'm not sure what these tingles are but throughout my life I noticed them randomly. It's a very short feeling of bliss for me. Like a wave of Something comes over you.
I believe everyone experiences tingles but I'm not sure. It could be different for everyone. I will do some research tonight though because that's an interesting subject for me.
Whatever asmr works to get you to this state is different for everyone and sometimes can change as you get used to it (Atleast in my experience).
There are asmr's that feature just noises. There are many that are whispering. There are many even stranger ones. A lot of these you will get annoyed with because it is just annoying noises for some. But when you find the one that does work for you, you will know from the feeling that it causes.
Great advice!!!
Yeah baths always does it for me!
I take a cool shower and lay in bed with no lights and a good movie on low sound. This works for me.
