Ruling out physical causes is a good thing in treating any mental problem.
Sugar levels increase usually because of the way we eat in response to anxiety and depression - comfort eating carbohydrates and consuming sweet food and drinks.
What to do? The answer is monitoring what we eat (make healthy choices), when we eat and increasing levels of activity.
This is on top of everything else we have to do to keep ourselves healthy.
I am keeping a diary for the next 3 months at the suggestion of my psychologist. I am only in week 2 but already found myself swapping biscuits for fruit at morning tea.
Try keeping a food diary for the next week or two and have your insulin levels checked again 😊
