Finding Help!!!

Hello! I'm new to this community of great people. I've now come to terms with the fact that I may need help and sometimes things are just totally out of your control. I'm here to get support from people that have been there and done it. Support from people that can really relate to what I'm going through. I want to live a happy, healthy, and prosperous life and I want to do it for me!!!

It's nice to meet you! What kind of things trouble you? I have depression and anxiety and although I'm still trying to get a grasp of it all I would be more than happy to help whenever. If you ever need to vent or have a question or just want to chat, feel free to message me.

Cool! Thanks! I have anxiety and suffer from depression as well. What steps did you take to seek help?

I wish I had a better answer but I haven't reached out much to be honest. I'm not interested in taking medication so seeing a doctor won't do me much good. I'm eager to see a therapist but am waiting to be approved for insurance. Most of the help I've received so far has come from the people here (who are amazing btw)

Yea, I'm literally in the same position but, hey one day at a time.

Well until you have access to a therapist (or whomever) don't hesitate to share on here. It really helps to have a safe place to express yourself and your concerns/feelings

Welcome!

I only have a couple minutes right now, but in conjunction with therapy, peer support (like what you get here, but in person) can be very helpful. I don't knew your location; in the United States , where I am, availability and breadth of resources vary wildly from state to state, but peer support can be immensely helpful and is usually close to free.

Here are a couple of links that illustrate the kind of services that others suffering from mental illness may be able to offer you, depending on your location.

Good luck!

Welcome to my world as well. We are all going through similar trials and tribulations. I am new to this website as well. I had signed up for anxiety/depression and copd. First one I think I had been born that way. Copd was just diagnosed June 13. Its tough to deal with being on oxygen 24/7

I try and live one day at a time. Anything on your mind just send a message out and some of us will reply.
