Hey guys,

Does anyone currently take/took Zoloft or Vistaril? If so do/did you have any symptoms?

I'm curious to find out what others experienced with these medications. I am currently taking both and I do feel like they've made a huge change with my anxiety and depression, but I know a lot of people take other meds.

Hi! I had a lot of success with Zoloft before it pooped out on me. I have to say, my condition is pretty severe and it worked very well for me for a year until I had to switch to Effexor, which continued my climb up the success ladder. I have taken Vistaril before too, and it's a great tool for anxiety that Zoloft may not totally cover on bad days! It's an antihistamine and it's kind of like a strong Benadryl. It helped a lot with my nighttime anxiety, especially paired with melatonin.

Side effects I had with Zoloft were that it made me extremely sick on startup, mostly diarrhea and lack of appetite and increased anxiety. They lasted only for a week and then I mostly had zero problems after that.

Glad to hear it's helping you!
