Went to my doctor today. We were discussing what we should do since my panic disorder is still out of control. He has tried different meds with no luck. I used to be on Klonopin but have been off it for 1 1/2 years now. The only thing is, I feel like crap now. I felt OK when I was on klonopin but I thought I needed to get off it for a while anyway. Now that I'm off klonopin I feel like I'll never feel normal again. My doctor wants to put me back on it. I'm in my 50's now. Does anyone have something good to say about klonopin or is it just plain bad news anyway you look at it? Or could it be that I would be better off just to use it?

Klonopin?
Klonopin is a god send for me during a panic attack..I take a low dose every day and for me it takes the edge off....
If your Dr recommends it you should really think about possibly taking it again...
Im very vigilante about doseage etc so becoming heavily dependent is less likely....
If you trust your Dr work with him...if you dont look for another
I'm 65 and I have been taking Klonopin for, at least 20 yrs, probably more and I have been doing fine with my anxiety and I can't remember when I last had a panic attack.
For me, it has worked fine with no side effects. I expect I will be on it for the rest of my life and I am ok with that.
Good Luck,
MJ
Keys to life, I take klonapin, 1mg. A day for anxiety. The trouble with klonapin is that you can be dependent on it if you use it regularly. Maybe you only need it once in a while. It does help panic and anxiety. You in therapy? That really can help to not take it so much. This is a great site. Write back.
MJ, I have been on klonapin for about 15 years. It does help with my OCD anxiety. I am 60. Glad to hear it's working for you. I also take Prozac and Nortryptline. Thank God for these meds.
