Excessive worry is anxiety. If the same thing goes on in your mind every day that's called OCD----obsessive/compulsive disorder. But please go to a professional, preferably a psychiatrist, as this is fairly easily treated. If you still are worrying too much, you may also benefit from a counselor. I have some OCD but it's treated with medication and I have a great counselor, too. If I find myself reviewing a problem too much I can easily move my thoughts away from that topic. I wish you great health.

I started out extremely anxious and that took a while to settle down and respond to the med. Once I was treated and on a regular schedule the med gave me almost complete relief. Every great once in awhile I wished I had more or less med.

"The same thing is going on in my mind every day, every time." Did you say this to describe your problem and now are you saying this is the result of studying?

I'm so glad you saw the Dr. and you're trying out fluvoxamine! You're on your way to feeling better! Here are 3 side effects of fluvoxamine/Luvox: dry mouth, stuffy nose; unusual or unpleasant taste in the mouth. Source: drugs.com.

So your problems are due to the drug, which is common for many drugs for depression. I like to keep water with me at all times to counteract the dry mouth feeling. Biotene toothpaste is also recommended for a longer lasting effect against dry smelly mouth. It's available in grocery, drug and large retail stores and is expensive compared to regular toothpaste but you may find it helps. Keeping breath mints. tic-tacs or similar also should help.

Please allow 4-6 weeks to determine if this drug is helpful to you. Your dose may need adjusting if you get some success but not enough from your current dose. Best wishes!
