I have been taking magnesium taurate for a week, just one a day (recommends 2 daily) and taking it with food, but it seems to have upset my stomach in that I need to visit the loo very frequently. Does anyone else have this problem and how can I sort it, or should I just give up on the magnesium

Magnesium Taurate and upset stomach
Magnesium is well known for making the bowels loose.
Try completely dissolving a tablet in a glass of water each morning and then just sipping it when eating throughout the day. Failing that you can buy magnesium salts to add to your bath or a spray on oil, these won't affect the bowels.
Suggest you watch both of Dr Gupta’s videos Polly. He recommends Taurate because it is supposed to be kind to the stomach whereas other variants apparently are less so. In the later video, he refers to an alternative magnesium supplement but that was because there had been adverse comments regarding the cost of Taurate.
Well known problem with magnesium. You must be very sensitive to it or taking too much.
I find magnesium glycinate is less likely to cause bowel upset.
I use the oil by Better You and also magnesium salts in my bath. You can add an essential oil of your choice and relax for twenty minutes. Heavenly!
Can be a sign that you have enough magnesium in your system and your body is excreting excess!! There are tests that can be done privately to check magnesium levels.
