yes but this really depends on the dose of prednisone. At 5 mg you are very close to just replacing the amount you would normally make which is about 4 mg. So it really doesn’t increase your risk much. The denosumab effect is very small. If you are taking 10 mg then might be worth thinking about.

I never said my dose of prednisone. For those of us who are RT beneficiaries with resulting permanently lower WBC numbers, add Prolia and prednisone, and the aging body's diminishing overall disease-resistance, ...

Overall it is overwhelmingly worth acting accordingly, not merely thinking. Exercise, nutrition and being hygienic within reason, are far more important at age 60+ than in mid-life.
