Finished #5 - Plu V icto... myself at OSU James yesterday Sorry about the numbers and the upcoming decisions, but, absolutely, it is a beautiful spring day here in Ohio.
I remember back a couple of years ago with everyone clamoring for Lu177 as if it were a miracle. Nope, just another tool, guys. A good tool, but just a tool.
It looks as though my PSMA-avid tumors have shrunk, yes, but my ALP is rising (90 from 67 from a steady 38ish when treatment was working) and Dr. Yang has some suspicion that my cancer is becoming decoupled from PSA expression. This, of course, raises concerns for the appearance of therapy-related neuroendocrine prostate cancer.
But that is for the future. Today, I will take your example and listen once again to life coming back in earnest!
I completed 6 LuPSMA177 infusions at Dana Farber last year. Initial response very positive but afterward PSA started rising. 8.1 0.19 2.0. Met with Denmeade at Johns Hopkins. Since I had already done Lupron and Zytiga 2 years before with PSA progressing, his opinion was I would be a good candidate for BAT. I did a lot of research, spoke to the MO at Dana Farber, and my regular MO, who cautioned against it. But would help monitor and support me. I decided on BAT and I am indeed a responder. PSA down over 50%. Going into my third cycle. Doing lots of exercise. Big improvement to QOL.
Contact me. Since it is not SOC ,all the Doctors (4) are helping to monitor. I can obtain prescriptions if needed or immediate care. They all seem very pleased with my response.
