Abiraterone failed after about 6 months. My PSA is back up to 190 and I have a bunch of painful metastases on my ribs, spine and pelvis.
I will be going to the Levine Cancer Institute today to begin 10 cycles of External Beam Radio Therapy (EBRT) and 6-months of intravenous Xofigo.
We don't have the results back yet from a bone density test that I took yesterday to determine the dosage of Fosamax needed to prevent bone fractures. (I found out that taking one Fosamax 70mg oral tablet once a week is standard dose.)
I will let you know when/if the pain from the bone metastases starts to subside.
Blessings, Friends.

The guy on that bed is being treated for head/neck cancer. That white think over his face is a hockey mask mold the make so the head is stationary during treatment.

I wondered! Man I hate the hospitals ! That poor guy . ouch😳
I believe the data support to add bone agents, mainly denosumab or zoledronic in castration resistant cancer with bone metastases,, particularly when starting Xofigo treatment.
I'm following you through your treatments as I started Xofigo yesterday.....I finished radiation to mets Friday for pain and to slow them before Xofigo. Best of luck to both of us...'
