Fenbendazole

My husband is Stage IV that has spread to his torso bones from neck to hip. He’s been on Eligard since July 21 when PSA was 14.7. His PSA this jumped to 22.4 so started on Xtandi due to being Type II diabetic. I’ve researched Fenbendazole and curious if anyone has had success adding it to your treatment protocol. He’s been very resistant but is slowly warming up to trying. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I took it for well over a year. I thought no discernible effect. No noticeable side effects. As Noir says, it was pretty comprehensibly discussed some time ago. Inconclusively as I remember and it doesn't come up nearly as much now.

Just add it to his morning coffee, you never know it's there if you also add a little low fat milk for color camouflage . I have been using it for 3 yrs. does it help???? who knows. Hasn't hurt that I can help....

Fenbendazole needs to be taken with fats such as butter or peanut butter in order for the body to absorb it.

This topic can generate serious rifle fire on the forum here, just so you know going in.

I started using fenbendazole in Feb. 2020, 15 months after beginning Lupron. Lupron had quickly reduced my PSA from 200 to under 1 and kept it there. Once on fenben, my PSA rose after three months to 1.4 (I had been warned that it might) but then PSA begin to decline again, hitting an all-time low of 0.5 in April 2021. The last three quarterly readings were 0.6, last in December. I still show three bone Mets, but 5-7 small Mets that were mentioned in early PET scan reports have not been mentioned on last two PETs. My largest met, inside my right hip, which had been visible on every single bone scan, CT, and MRI, was no longer visible on last MRI, but still showed uptake on PET.

That's a neutral report; I have made no grand claims yet about its effectiveness.

I had two early issues with fenben. First, slight diarrhea for a few days, which corrected quickly. Then two months in, my ALT and AST liver readings jumped sharply. However, in two months they corrected and the last 12-15 months have been lower than ever.

Thank you! I appreciate this information. It’s exactly what I was looking for as I’ve researched it’s side effects and drug interactions extensively but wanted to hear from someone who took it. It sounds likes it done more good than harm so I’m hoping it’ll help him some too. I recently spoke to another person who has multiple myeloma and it’s greatly improved his blood counts which I’m praying for too. Of course the oncologist says no but at this point it’s worth trying since it’s so advanced.

Thanks for the fenben info.! I would like to ask, how much did you take? And how often? I have been diagnosed with stage 4 pc 14 months ago, been on lupron, had turp, my psa started to to go up from last summer till dec it wen up to 25. I am currently taking xtandi, started easy , knowing the bad side effects, started 1 a da first week, 2 a day 2 so the 3rd week 3 a day every other day. So far I feel pretty good, kinda reluctant to take more. I hzve bone mets and my r hip wss hurting prior to xtandi and fenben. I have an appointment at the Moffitt Cancer Center in 2 weeks so I will see if my psa has gone down any. I was told by my MO that if xtandi is starting to work,, hip pain will go away, so far it has done that, but i also take fenben.

I started out taking the 1-gram packets (222mg of fenben) daily. About four months in, I started taking two doses per day, but only half the week, pausing the second half. Around Nov 2020, 9 months in, I switched to the liquid, and upped my dose to around 800-1000 mg twice daily for half of each week. And there I remain. Liver readings still good.

I do alternate the fenben occasionally with an artemisinin protocol, and another protocol. But fenben has been the longest and most regular by far.

So did you take the Pancur 1g packets =222mg. With 100 ml EVOO or a fatty meal or yogurt. I was told 3 days on, 4 days off + 600 mg curcumin, 25 mg cbd oil, 200mg Dypridamole, 25mg aspirin generic, 1500 mg berberine , 10mg simvastin, Milk thistle 300mg for liver evening.

All with meals. Semenex 4 pills 2x for ED and ejaculation. I. Had FLA with Elestra , 10-25. PSA , was 3 now .7 , going for MRI, 4,-1. Dr Eric Walser, pioneer and a bit of an ablation expert in the. world UTMB , houston ,tx . My 3 lesion were right side G7 , 5 %, G6. left side 1mm . Hockey stick ablation , Prostate size 30 cc. This site larry and Tall Allen must have a deal refute FLA at all costs. Interview every RP and SBRT Doctor pusher shrills but refuse to give Walser a voice , they fear his progress and conservative practice. If tou have G8 SBRT probably necessary yes but I believe the FBZ is helping with the other. GOD BLess . Immunotherpy. Is the long term solution.

Lot of questions there. See my other answers for dosage history. I have taken many supplements on an alternating basis: curcumin, milk thistle, berberine, CBD/THC, etc. I've never taken dipyridamole, simvastatin, metformin or other off-label meds. I do take red yeast rice (HPF Cholestene brand), NSAIDs (or aspirin), cimetidine, loratadine.

I take after fatty meals.

You said he is resistant to trying.

I have no intention of using it. If my wife tried to push it on me it would be a very stressful thing to add to the existing stress.

Opinions about this are very strong. I feel sorry for him.

Hi Bigmis, you mean with 10 ml, not 100 ml EVOO, don´t you? A tablespoon means 15 ml, so 10 ml of EVOO, together with 2.2 ml of FBZ, will pretty much fill it up.

25 mg of cbd oil is quite a lot. Is it essential for the possible anti-cancer effect, what´s your take on this? In the report from the Stanford researchers, only FBZ was stated as the substance taken in cases no 1 and 3; cbd oil only mentioned in case 2. scitechnol.com/peer-review/...

Fenbendazole has certainly met with some skepticism from past threads on this Forum. There is a lot of preclinical data but nothing clinical on humans, except case studies which give at best a very low level of evidence. However, perhaps against better judgment, I can´t help but get interested in it after seeing the following three case studies; what caught my mind are the authors, from renowned Stanford and U of Washington, who found it worthwhile to report on Fenbendazole. Side effects are low..... oops another one to check.....

I took it for a while, in conjunction with my Eligard injections. I responded very well to the treatment. My Dr doesn't know I took fenben.

Lymph nodes cleared up completely.

I can't say the good results are due to the fenben, but I had no bad side effects from it.

With a PSA of 300, fenben either helped or did nothing, either way I would recommend trying it.

i am trying it right now. Been on it for a week now having a biopsy Dec 7

theclevergiver profile image
theclevergiver

I took 444mg daily for two weeks before prostate biopsy dec 7th 2023. after the biopsy they found cancer but only a little bit. 2 cores not all 12. My psa hadn't been checked for a year so it could have been lowered . so before I go through radiation I will ask my doctor to do scans and psa tests. my oncologist will do a scan of my entire body in two weeks. So I have two weeks to kill and eradicate more cancer.

theclevergiver profile image
theclevergiver

at least there is no more surgery. the biopsy is humiliating and hell. That loud noise with the pain without pain killers. I called on Jesus everytime the needles extracting the cores hit my prostate.

theclevergiver profile image

I am also taking antibiotics to eliminate infection because of the biopsy.
