Welcome aboard! Sorry we’re here. But you’ve found the best place for APC. I’ve had six yrs now past a #4 4+4 gl. T-4 .. my high PSA was 20..I had two yrs of hell with tubes out of my back and a foley until the imrt and adt shrank the tumors allowing me to pee again. You hopefully won’t ever go there. Our heads were spinning for some time until I went undetectable. We can relate . At any given point we have many members in the exact same shoes. Ask questions. Stay strong. Enjoy everything you can . Push the APC back to the dark ages where it belongs. Scott .

It’s a whirlwind of tmi and searching for Hope. Let’s just pray that you can put the pc down .. 🙏 and then go on to live some happy years not fighting the cancer .. Initially everything is up in the air . Fear of the unknown and what could be . Gloom and doom thinking is fatalistic to us . But we’ve all seen it . Before . .Stay strong and keep the north starlight on! Scott

That is awesome you're being given access to the PEACE-1 protocol! Really good results there, amazing actually! Positive thoughts heading your way! Don't forget to try the ice for hands and feet and chew ice chips while infusing the chemo, it helped me tremendously especially preventing the burnt mouth side effect. Just a suggestion.

Anyways Good Luck and Godspeed!

I did use ice and so far the ice has worked well. Dr. Kwon from Mayo is the lead DR. and Hugec from Minesota Onocolgy is where the chemo is given. They both like Peace -1. I was very lucky to get these 2 Doctors Thank you very much for your uplifitng reply.

Go well dude, cherish those around you and punch on...

I'm similar, I grow my own veg,and when not in season source from organic suppliers. Live on a dairy farm so fresh raw milk and I grow my own sheep for killing.. I live alone partly because of this disease and partly by choice. Life isn't easy but then it never really was.... I hurt physically a lot more but I'm a stronger and more patient man spiritually. My physical strength wanes but my mental a and spiritual strength grows in leaps and bounds. Go well friend.

We have green beans, squash buttercup, red wheat, corn and dried corn put away for winter. Sheep are alot of work. The land we live on has been in the family since 1942, has a trout steam running through it.

Sounds beautiful, I'm lucky to have a trout stream too! I have help with the sheep, but try to be as independent as I can be..life is good

Your dx is very similar to mine, I probably had more bone involvement and a Gleason score of 9 however. I was dx in 2014, I’m still here, you can fight this beast. Learn all you can, get with a medical oncologist who specializes in prostate cancer even if that involves travel and be your own advocate. You can check out my profile to see my journey. Good luck, fight the fight!

How did your chemo session go and the few days after? I had the first chemo on Oct 22 and have had severe pain, nausea and constipation. Still feeling pretty bad after 10 days.

Hope you feel better and sorry to hear that you are feeling that bad.

1st chemo was oct. 29th went well, really had energy from the steroids. Not much sleep on the 1st night after chemo. 2nd day constipation used stool softener better after that. Head fog started at night drank lots of water urinating like every 20 mins. No nausea, no sleep again. 3rd day was bad hard to think brain fog bad, not hungry ate small meals, constipated again more stool softeners did the trick. Blood in urine went to ER everything ok. Blood in urine went away at night 3: 00 AM. 4th day after chemo feeling good so far. Days 2 -4 I walked for an hour on treadmill and lifted dumbbells for 15 mins. Going out to work on lawn tractor.
