Update on Keytruda .

I just had my third infusion of Keytruda and so far things are going in the right direction. At the start of treatment my PSA was 34, after 1st infusion my PSA dropped to 20 and after 2nd infusion PSA is 10. Also my ALK Phos is back in the normal range. My only concern is my hemoglobin dropped from 11.6 to 9.3. I’ve also had blood in my urine several times. I do have a CT scan and cystoscopy scheduled to see what’s going on.

I’m pleased with the results so far and only side effect has been fatigue but it’s manageable.

Stay strong brothers!

Very nice to hear.

Did Keytruda cause any kind of red skin rash, and how did it affect your platelet count?

I did not have any rashes. My platelets are in the normal range. So far it’s been a very easy drug for me to tolerate.

Why Keytruda? Is it related to a certain sub type of PC you have?

I’ve failed all the chemo’s, LU177, and multiple rounds of radiation, my particular cancer seems to mutate around each treatment. My Onc. said Keytruda is my last treatment ( I don’t buy that yet), my gene testing showed I had a high tumor mutation level. For Keytruda you need at least a 10% tumor mutation level my was 34.6% so my Onc thought I would respond well to Keytruda.
