So, as I had posted before, my brother failed the ARV/110 trial. A great response at first with dropping PSA but then it started to rise so he ended the trial. His MO wanted him to start the PT 112 trial at Dana-Farber the beginning of April. In the meantime she put him on Darolutimide which only saw Psa continue to rise. A second Foundation One report showed a big increase in mutations which was devastating, however has led us to another option. Dr. Beltran thought he may be a good candidate for Keytruda. He had his first infusion last week. With a high mutational burden, some mismatch repair genes, MSH 2,3 and 6, CDK 12 and TP53 we are once again hopeful. 🙏🏻
On to Keytruda.....: So, as I had... - Advanced Prostate...
On to Keytruda.....
Hi Faith! Glad to read your update and to see renewed hope for your brother. I've seen several posts on Keytruda here and it seems promising. Hoping for success for him.
Thank you for your reply Nal. It is because of you that we have Dr. Beltran. It is also because of you we went to Foundation One. My brother has discussed it with Dr. Beltran although not in depth. I will keep your information at hand. Right now we are praying for Keytruda.
🙏🏻💞
I think many get the Foundation One report too soon. I'm glad she found some actionable mutations.
Yes, agree TA. It is amazing how much you learn as you go along. He never would have been considered for Keytruda based on the first report. Now that we’ve waited this long it is proving useful in directing treatment.
I had the foundation one test early and then again later and only the second test showed I was MSI-h. I’m not sure if it was missed or if it was later acquired
HiI'm on a clinical trial of Xtandi four tablets every day with Keytruda/plecebo infusion every 3 weeks
It's been 6 months lots of side effects mainly fatigue
Good news Faith, we are praying for Bob. Keep us posted.
Hi Faith- Keytruda was my Hail Mary, PSA went from 122 to undetectable and stayed undetectable for over a year. I had pretty much run out of options. I wish your brother the same success. It’s amazing drug
Faith, high Mutational Burden is what qualified me for Keytruda..50 infusions over 5 yrs and now just 2 maintenance doses a year has me in Complete Durable Clinical Remission NED...Good luck to your brother..reach out if you have questions.
I cannot tell you how much hearing your words mean to me. Thank you so much for sharing your AMAZING story. So much hope for us and others reading that. I know every cancer is different but there are some commonalities with those responding so well to Keytruda. I continue to pray and be thankful that Bob is getting this opportunity. I very well may reach out to you as we go along. Thank you again for responding. Faith.
