Am I missing out on having a proven effective treatment of Carboplatin + Taxane/Docetaxel chemo, since I am BRCA2+, by going on to another trial instead? Next trial is possibly AC225 + Xtandi + Keytruda combo therapy.
Trial effectiveness is clearly unknown, and could possibly make me too weak to handle chemo? I have been on more trials than on SOC treatments at this point. No chemo to date. While I may be helping others by participating in these trials, I am not really helping myself so far.
I am still here 3 years since initial diagnosis of pelvic bone metastatic PC and Gleason 10. But PSA is rising (from 4.3 to 9.8) and one lesion has grown 20% while on the ARV-110 trial for 8 weeks. Testosterone has been in the single digits with ongoing ADT.
