Hopeful for the new year!

Not a lot to say in terms of advice, just wish everyone a happy new year. I know that's always easy to think with what we face, but I appreciate every day. I was diagnosed de novo stage 4 with 5 mets 7 months ago at 46 years old. Presenting PSA 10,177 Gleason 4+4=8. Have hundreds of bone spots and am superscan malignant on scans. My PSA last reading was 109 which is some good news. Am on Zytiga and ADT. I get no rest from this. I get low moods and times, but I stay positive overall, spend a lot of time out and about and distracting myself with hobbies and whatever. My dog keeps me in check. Wanted to say I am with you all on this journey and me and Bailey wish everyone a happy new year.

I hope we all have a year full of good news, both individually and in new strategies that allow us more hope.

First I got through 12 mo. Then 18 mo. Second I was here for my youngest daughters wedding. Now past expiration date and in remission. Third, Drs. tell me I 'may' have a future. So definitely a happy new year.

Hey, Firefox12! I’m 52 years young and overwhelmed with all of this too. Do you have friends or family you can lean on? I know for me I couldn’t do this alone. I’ve got two very young daughters, ages 4 and 2, that keep me busy. Anyway, your puppy looks good, bro!! I’m hopeful for the New Year and look forward to each new day. I love this forum and everyone here. Peace.

Nice picture of Bailey. Don't think he's a puppy. Don't think he's happy with the stocking hat. Think he's thinking, "What is wrong with these people." If he only knew New Years comes with hats too. My hat is off to all of the courageous men AND women who have journeyed through this past year. It really pains me when I see people 20 years younger than me struggling with this. So, firefox12, I hope your youth, your strength and Bailey get you to the day they say "O.K. We got this." Follow the yellow brick road.

Good advice. Except for following the yellow brick road. I once did and unfortunately I ended up marrying a wicked witch of the west (the ex).

Santa Claws by golly... time to pee on master's toes and his girlfriend Holly. Go out and find Bailey a friend to keep you busy. Maybe a parrot who can imitate a dog. You're 46 and I predict you'll be around for 46 more years (92 based upon my computer's calculator).

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
