I'm not sure how this plays out. I just read an article saying they thought it would be sometime next year. Does FDA approval mean Medicare approval? How about insurance? What strings will be attached? What about sequencing? Others here are way more informed than I am. Even if you are PSMA positive, it doesn't work for everyone. We are all Guinea Pigs.
Consider getting a liquid biopsy or a direct biopsy to determine the somatic (cancer) genome and see if the cancer may respond to olaparib, rucaparib or keytruda. If it were possible to get tumor cells they could do IHC studies and see if the cancer may respond to a combination of jevtana and cisplatin or similar.
If you did not get Provenge, you should discuss getting it. Provenge is the only vaccine approved for PC and it offers a survival advantage,
Personally I will pursue the biopsy, Provenge and a clinical trial with Lu 177 PSMA. Lu 177 PSMA has shown to prolong life and even more important quality of life.

Don't let the numbers get you down. I noticed you're testing PSA every month, perhaps you may want to take things a notch or two down and stay positive. So smile and enjoy the present. I hope you're still out there running but in a safe way 😷
Ahem...now for myself as you are aware, I am also rechallenging docetaxel. The numbers did not come down very well but my oncologist and me are not fretting. Instead, i have completed 6 cycles and the PSA is at 24 from 35 when I first started infusion 1. We, as in my onco and I, have decided to push the cycles to 4 more that means 10 in all to try and bring the PSA down further since she says I look alright and seem to tolerate the cycles very well. I am still on 3 monthly Lucrin/Lupron jab, and taking steroids every day. I don't let the numbers control my life, just taking things easy and staying happy.
So, here goes nothing. It will be the first time I am going to cross the 6 cycles line and praying for the best. One good day at a time.
