Do you have an objective for your post? Are you seeking opinions on your course of treatment? Are you questioning the oncologist's plan for possibly stopping Xtandi and going with Zytiga/prednisone if PSA is rising?
What complementary medicine strategies are you using? Vegan yet? Or maybe vegetarian? Are you taking anti-cancer supplements that are compatible with these drugs (eg., IP6 as described by AKM Shamsuddin, MD, PhD in his book, or the natural immunomodulator beta glucan as described by Vaclav Vetvicka in "Beta Glucan: Nature's Secret" 3rd Ed.)?
BTW, your side effects from ADT are consistent with those I have previously experienced over the first three years taking Lupron. I am a 76 year old, G8, with a PSA of 19 when diagnosed as stage 4, metastatic PCa. No prostatectomy. No radiation. No chemo so far. For 31/2 years Casodex and Lupron in AZ. Since 2016, now in Florida, just Lupron is administered every six months. The last time I was in for a PSA with my urologist, the PSA was 0.06. I have a new oncologist who I will see in September. At this time no plan for changes.
Greetings. Where are you located and where are you being treated? I've seen many many posts here regarding symptoms similar to yours, so you're not alone.
You will find great information and camaraderie here. Just think that right now the ski lift is out of order and you have to climb the top of the slopes. Eventually you'll be sailing down to the bottom and sitting in front of a cozy fire with a hot toddy in your hand.
Ohhh Rochester... I spent a week there one day... and of course getting to the airport with directions using Chili avenue - pronounced C-hie-lie... what an experience. LOL
