ADHD tip

I’ve been researching ADHD extensively lately. I’ve watched every video there is on productivity and hacks to be consistent etc. I found a concept called

”fall behind, catch up, get ahead”

For me consistency is nearly impossible. But I do naturally eventually get things done that are important to me this way. I have been for 38 years.

Ive come to accept that my house will get cleaned when it’s fallen behind badly. Then I’ll catch up and likely clean it meticulously (getting ahead) and the cycle will continue

this is the video that helped ne realize this

just thought it might help someone to think of it this way .

Hi.

This is an interesting concept. In the thirty years since my diagnosis, my ability to catch up on things stops there. Unless it’s something I’m passionate about, or can hyper focus on, I don’t get ahead.

You are fortunate for this cycle! I will watch videos on it.

Hi,

The theory you introduced in the thread is very interesting and I think I also somehow follow the path you describe, which is about how you got things done without consistent effort and habit. I've been struggling about how to build consistency like being focus at work/study, avoiding staying up late, finishing jobs with gradual progress instead of rushing to meet the deadline.
