I have been working on an ADHD documentary-film along with the tremendous help of my family, friends, and music students since 2016. After 6+yrs of research on ADHD, along with publishing a book on ADHD, I wanted to debut a doc-film that shows ADHD in its raw form, showing both the positives & negatives through the different stages of the lifespan. Anyway, on my ADHD Youtube channel, I uploaded a 2nd Movie Clip of an emotionally/physically exhausted parent that feels like no one supports nor understands what she and her son go through. If you feel you relate to that, or know someone who relates to that, I encourage you to please watch it & share. Blessings, and best regards to you and your family.

Three of my six children were diagnosed with ADHD. At no time was their ADHD being our fault mentioned or suggested. That said, I have known a few teachers that thought students with ADHD did not receive proper guidance from their parents. My children were diagnosed back in the 80's and early 90's. With all the medical and professional information available now days. It is sad some professionals still believe ADHD is due to lack of parenting skills. It seems more education and training regarding ADHD and the many different ways it can present in different patients in needed

Yes. I don’t have kids, but I have a very dysfunctional family (the Circus). My sister will say there’s a family curse. And there is-it’s called ADHD. But I have yet to convince any of them to look into it. Also, somebody’s got to be the bad guy (something like blaming that you mentioned) for all their crap-and the bad guy is usually me-from me (as my sister says) ‘playing Psychologist or Psychiatrist.’ They don’t want to change. For all of the family craziness, heartaches, financial problems and so on… it’s sad. And I’m done. I’m tired of trying. And next 2 generations of dysfunction are here. It’s like trying to mentally communicate with an Alcoholic or Drug Addict? Yet there’s still the desire to get 1 of them to ‘Get it’ and then hopefully it would snowball in the right direction. It’s a nice fantasy anyway. But sad-IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY!
