Update my appointment is the 25th i missed my eye Dr appointment. Hey I do great keeping up with everyone else's appointment and I'm also trying to run 2 house hold my mom is 65 and just had part of her lung removed due to cancer. She is the only one who has never smoked also go figure. But the did get it all. I'm telling you hitting 40 is rough especially since you're parents start needing care right when kids leaving home. But we are a close family and wouldn't trade them for the world 🌎.

Over the years I’ve had my share of missed and forgotten appointments. Here’s what works for me. EVERYTHING gets written into a paper calendar. I find using a phone app or the calendar on my phone isn’t always accurate. Sometimes it wasn’t updating my appointments or I wasn’t hearing that alarm. So I’m not going to be victimized by technology.

Every night after I’ve cleaned up from dinner I look at my calendar for the next day. At this point I gather anything I’ll need for the appointment and have it next to my purse. I’ve learned when life gets crazy I need to be up and functioning earlier than everyone else. I’ll make my coffee and look at my calendar and my list for the day again. Now is when I set alarms on my phone using the timer app that comes with my phone. I set it at different points depending on what’s going on that day. I might set an alarm to let me know that I need to stop what I’m doing in 10 min. So I can clean up then shower before my appointment in 1 hour. Then another alarm might be set to leave in 1 hour. Remember to give your self extra time to get there and to park as well as getting into the building. It’s still hard to get out the door on time but I don’t for appointments anymore. I

suffer from JUST ONE MORE THING syndrome-haha.

BTW my 87 yr old parents just moved to my my town and co incidentally, my mother lost part of her lung to lung cancer ten yrs ago, though she didn’t smoke. So it must have been due to environmental issues. Know one else has gotten it, but she’s better. Still becomes out of breath quickly. Your mother is young enough to be a to build up the strength of her lungs where my mother didn’t push herself enough. She could be in better shape, but we’re thankful she’s still here with us today.
