Hello 👋 this Shnookie. I’m Jewish. I know your intentions R well meaning but promoting your religion on this website makes me very uncomfortable 😣 I’ve met Christians during my lifetime who have tried to convert me to Christianity. I’m very comfortable in my religion and told these people so. There R people on this site of all different religions and beliefs. I wish U well but please think of others when posting your texts in the future.

Shnookie, I appreciate all posts on this site. Just as appreciate your right to post opposition to this post. . I may not agree with some (including your thoughts) but believe each person has the right to post what ever they feel might encourage someone else enduring this ailment. If you don’t agree with something then simply move on. It’s like seeing something on tv and not liking it, what do you do, change the channel, no one is forcing you to watch it or in this case read it.

I do appreciate you not assaulting this post verbally and being respectful. That shows a great deal of respect and speaks to your character. Thank you

I understand what U R saying and right now I am having a lot of issues regarding ADHD which R negatively impacting life such as making mistakes at work and letting my apartment get so messy that I have hired a housekeeper to come to my house Friday to help me start to clear up my mess. It was the way the title of this post was texted. Yes I can choose on not responding to a post. But the author of this post could have worded the title of the post differently. When my beloved mother was suffering from stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer she and I had people of different faiths praying 4 Us. And this comforted us greatly. And I may also truth be known be a little hypersensitive another part of ADHD U also need to understand that there is a higher level of anti Semitism now in the U.S. my point is that sensitivity of wording and to say all Christians and anyone else interested is not an inclusive statement

I greatly appreciate your response and candidness about your struggles. I believe recognizing our struggles and lack of ability to handle those things ourselves is a giant step in improving our lives. I know it was and still is for me. That actually goes for anyone with any issues. I have the same struggles and I also chose to hire a person to clean my house as well. I had to realize that there are somethings I cannot do myself and need help with. Its all about the healing. I choose to, just like it seams Spacehead does, to seek help from God. He is the one that gives me strength and comfort on a daily basis. He is the one that has shown me that even though I suffer from this condition, He can use it to His good though me, If I allow Him to do so. Just like the the people that came along side you and your mom during that time, you accepted their help. You may not have agreed with them spiritually, but you accept help and it sounds like it was beneficial. I despise that there is any hate going on in this world, especially when it is directed toward those of any faith. My heart goes out to the Jewish people, and the undeserved hate that is blatantly hurled your way. We are called to love one another tenderhearted forgiving one another. I cannot speak to how Spacehead titled the post but I cant imagine them meaning any ill will. To me they where just putting this verse of from King David out there just to bring peace to anyone who might need it. What we (those with ADHD) have to face on a daily bases can be grueling. We can all use some help sometimes no matter where it comes from.

On a side note the term inclusiveness has been hijacked and has been used to belittle those or intimidate those that don't agree with the way someone else feels or believes. It is used to intimidate others into a form of submission through social guilt. Inclusiveness as defined is the quality of including many different types of people and treating them all fairly and equally. Its not to restrict one person or group over another. It is to give a voice to all but do it in a way that upholds the dignity of the other person or group. You don't have to agree but just as the Bible says Love one another, it does not say you have to accept one another. I am not saying this to discount your use of the word, if you meant it as it was defined, just to point out how that term along with many others has been twisted to benefit one group or idea over another.

This is Shnookie. I understand what U mean by inclusiveness. There R certain expressions that come from the Torah first 5 verses of Moses that I do use on this site especially to those who express suicidal ideations such as to save one life is to save the world and pekuach nefesh healing of the soul. However I cite them as positive concepts and do not mention that they come from the Torah. I am totally comfortable in my Jewish faith but do not want anyone who reads my comments to believe that I’m imposing my religion upon them.

Hi Shnookie. By all means my post was meant for encouragement and not to exclude or pressure. I added to all those interested so that non Christians who were interested didn’t feel that I was trying to exclude them. I admit I’m not always the best with my words and misrepresented trying to make everyone feel welcome to my post. I have so many struggles. I love Christ and He keeps me going. Otherwise I don’t know what I’d do. In Doing so I never want to make others feel left out or make others feel that they can share their place as well. I appreciate your respect in your post. It’s something that is becoming more rare these days. I hope we can continue to encourage one another in our ADHD struggles. I hope for the best for you and me my friend.

Thank U 4 your post. I understand what U meant and think 🤔 that we should be supportive of each in trying to deal with the profound challenges we deal with in having ADHD. I’m happy that U have Christ as your spiritual guidance. But we must remember because many

of us in the ADHD community R hypersensitive words and how they can be interpreted have special meanings.

Have a pleasant day M

Thank you for posting that verse. With what we with ADHD go through on a daily basis, any words of encouragement and possible Reprieve from anxiety is appreciated. As a Christian I agree with your post. Please continue to be bold in your faith. Romans 5:1-8 has been a great scripture to turn to in times of struggle.

I thought that the Old Testament of the Bible is Jewish and the New Testament was Christianity. Space head was sighting Psalms which is in the Old Testament. I think that any goodwill offered is wonderful. You might quote something from the Torah that would be thoughtful and uplifting for Space head and I. Any kind thought from any religion is welcome. Lord, knows we need all kindness.

Thank you Spacehead for sharing. I love the Psalms and turn to them often when I'm feeling anxious, and during times of struggle or sorrow. Was just reading Psalms 91:1-2, and Psalms 100:4-5.

Yeah. Psalms are great when you’re feeling strong emotions. God is awesome. Concentration is a problem people with all people, but especially with ADHD. but if we can focus on the one thing that is Jesus then other things in life can fall in place.
