Hm, that hasn’t been my experience or the experience of many people I know. Who told you that adults can’t be prescribed amphetamines? I’d suggest consulting a psychiatrist if possible.

amphetamines/stimulants can be for adults, but as you get older, t raises your chances of having a heart attack. My 41 yo partner takes them. I didn’t find any relief using them as they make me anxious. My med is stratera. It’s technically a mild version of a stimulant, so it doesn’t fit the category. Try this one if you’re not allowed stimulants.

I’m sorry about your addiction. I understand it not first hand but my mom was on crack in my teen years so I know what it does on a deeper level. Seems like you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Lol yes ma'am at least I know God...or am trying to know him. He hasn't put more on me than I can handle. I came off meth and 200MG OF seroquel a year ago by his grace and Marijuana a month ago. I haven't been drunk but one time in the last 6 yrs.....I got Baker or Marchman acted then after begging a deputy sheriff to shoot me. So as burnt out and hopeless as it seems at time....I do know Jesus is my only way to sobriety, sanity and salvation. Ty and God bless

adults can take then, but yes they are not good once you reach a particular age. I take them at 43. Be aware of the dangers and ask your doctor questions, if you have any.

For 2 years I was prescribed a low dose of Adderall. I also have a history of addiction but have many years of being drug free. But I also decided to stop the Adderall myself about 6 months ago because it made me too jittery. I have lots of anxiety and it made it worse. I still drink lots of coffee, but that may not be the healthiest thing to recommend.

Amphetamines are certainly prescribed for adults. And newest research says that older adults can be prescribed stimulant meds too, according to Dr. Hallowell. Now if it is because of previous addiction, then that’s a different wrinkle, but research also shows that people who take stimulant meds have less chance of addiction. So 🤷‍♂️

Yeah Dr's don't want the liability even though I can buy enough meth for 30 dollars to stay high a year. It's ridiculous but it is what it is....I wont go back to street drugs, to dirty to dangerous to deadly now days. 🙏 Plus I promised God
