I've had a multitude of jobs in different career paths. How does anyone just pick something and stick to it while having ADHD?

I can NOT stick to any job??
Try to get a job doing something you enjoy and something that allows you flexibility to be creative. I became a teacher because I can do so many things, whatever I want, when it comes to teaching my students. I get to make learning fun, do projects and just be silly with my students. It’s something I love and I never get bored of it. It’s also something I get to control, so although I have a boss... I am the boss in my classroom. Just an idea. What are some of your interests?
A job with a natural high rate of change. Yep - exactly the same. I’m also a teacher in computing. Both areas have a high rate of change and variety and constantly push me to learn and develop. It’s meant that I have a lot of structure too . I can’t organise myself without an external structure so it’s worked for me. Plus with what my ADHD brings to the table - new ideas and constant drive forward - my employers put up with the problem areas of my adhd - timekeeping and deadline issues. Only because I’ve been there for a very long time and they know me.
Dude I’m the same way! I thought that was just me...
Yes we adhder’s make it interesting. We work the best under pressure. Our jobs needs us as much as we need it
Hi, I know this is a late reply but I just today joined the group. I am 57 and was just diagnosed less than two years ago. My whole life I had trouble keeping a job. I finally, finally found something that fits me, working as a library assistant in my local library. It’s because the job is so varied, between helping patrons and planning programs. I can create almost any program I like. I have always felt that I am just not good at anything. I understand your struggle and would be happy to talk to you about it more.
