I feel confined to my home

My 5 yo does not like to leave the house. This makes it very hard for me to go to the grocery store or just running errands. I have to leave him with my parents and I can’t be gone any longer than 2 hours otherwise he’s having meltdowns. Has anyone experienced this? He has SPD, ADHD, ODD

My 12 year old is the same way. I try to do stuff when he's at school or leave him with his dad

Good morning. My son, 7 would stay at home if I let him.

However, I explain to him (each time) that if we want to eat, we have to go grocery shopping.

I get a lot of push back some days but I don’t give him the option.

Also, even though it is not always possible, I try to propose something fun to do along the way such a stopping by the dollar store if he behaves well, having lunch outside, play a game afterwards, etc.
