Hi Vicx08,
Sorry to hear what you are going through. Putting my son on Adderall made his ADHD worse in that it made him angry and moody. I called his pediatrician and switch him ASAP and you should do the same.
I will be doing that thank you!
I agree with Dredoug02, some meds make the problem worse. It can be the dosage or the type of meds (stimulant or not stimulant). We had to change 4 times over the course of 6 months to find the right combo. Good luck
Oh nooo I know it is a process I am meeting with his psychiatrist today for a med check so I will be talking to her and telling her everything here very soon hoping for better results this time around
Hello, My son is starting Adderall today. He has been on Matadate CD 20mg, but things got worst , so we are switching to see how a different med will work. Good luck, and please let know about the decision
My son (8) had two weeks of aderral before I took him off..he got so violent and got depressed..
Maybe talk to doctor about it.....
It can be hard getting them on right on..
My daughter (age 6) has been on adderal 15mg for about 2 months now. We started out with 10 mg which I actually thought was working well but doctor bumped it up to 15 to help ease her out of it in the evenings. My issue is in the morning prior to her taking her medicine (which is a nightmare trying to get her to take it since I have to open the capsule and mix with something on a spoon for her) is she acts like Jekyll and Hyde. She yells and occasionally hits me and refuses to get ready. She yells at her little brother for just looking at her. It’s hard for me to get her to stay on task and then we’re racing out the door to get to school on time. I’ve been waiting until close to when we leave to give her the medicine so that she has plenty of time to eat since it does decrease her appetite. Is this behavior to be expected when the medicine isn’t in their system yet? Once she takes her daily dose she’s a million times better and it’s very pleasant.
