Two walks today with Squiggy. First one on my own, to the local park. During the walk I reflected upon ‘lifelong learning’ and how I love the challenge of learning something new. Since September I have taken up Pilates and love it (wish I had tried it years ago!). Thanks to CBDB I also had a go at performing the ‘Five Rites’, a set of movements similar to yoga, and felt full of admiration for people who do 21 of each movement DAILY! Then (also thanks to CBDB) I tried ‘Rope Flow’. I love the challenge of learning quite complex moves - my coordination is certainly being challenged! 🤣
In addition my role at work changed and getting to grips with new ways of working has been stressful 😕. So in December I am changing role again (my choice)! In my new role I will only work mornings which will be a positive change - no excuse for missing a daily walk! 😂
I have loved this walking challenge- it has motivated me to ‘get out and walk’ but it has also made my walks more mindful, reflective and also made me more aware of my surroundings. Searching for interesting things to photograph I have discovered delights that perhaps I would never have noticed - like the mushrooms all standing to attention in a line 😀
Thank you very much to everyone who contributed their thoughts, ideas and wonderful photos 😍 and of course thank you to CBDB for setting us the challenge 😀👍

Going for an almost daily walk and reading everyone else's posts about their walks in this challenge has made the month of October a more mindful month, and to appreciate what can be achieved. I hope your change of hours suits you and you find more time for yourself 😁.
So good to read! It sounds like you have chosen an even better work life balance. Something I’m pondering about as well.
And don’t we humans love exploring new things? Be it new horizons, new places to live, new roles or new ways of moving our one bodies. It is all so fascinating! And this forum is where we can delight in others doing just the same!
So thank you for contributing to this fabulous community! It certainly keeps me moving and exploring more of what we can learn about ourselves as we move around in this world!
I agree the Healthunlocked community is wonderful, so many kind hearted and supportive folk, oh and of course amazing administrators who work so hard ! 😀👍
🍏 Such a lovely positive post & love these little mushrooms in a row!!! You have certainly contributed to the fun aspect by introducing us to the alphabet ..🤣 and the adorable Squiggy & his squirrels. Xx
