I choose Joy!
Not the kind that bounces high,
like a child’s ball, leaping into the sky.
I can’t jump or jog,
but I walk, steady and sure,
feeling the sun kiss my skin,
as the afternoon’s golden light drips over the path.
The wind has hushed its restless song,
and in the stillness, joy settles softly—
not in the race or the rush,
but in the quiet rhythm of feet meeting earth,
one peaceful step at a time.
Joy is here, just as I am.
