Well, there is a first time for everything, and I experienced two firsts on my walk-run today:
First, I overtook a tractor! Yup! It had passed me as I came onto its farm track, planning to joggle after it. Ok, it obviously drove faster than me, but after a few 100 meters it slowed down a bit (… just a bit, if you’re wondering … and no … it didn’t stop completely … really … and thank you for asking 😉😏) at which point I took the convenient wide track to overtake it. And yes I think the driver was monitoring his cows in the meadow to the left, therefore slowing down. The path at that section was pretty wide and quite soon after I passed him, I could hear him catching up again. So I stepped to the edge to let him pass. So then I was joggling behind him again. However, nothing changes the fact that I OVERTOOK A TRACTOR!!!!! How good is that! 🙌🙌🙌🎉🎉🙌

Second, for the first time ever on a run/walk I got bitten by a dog! It just nipped at my hamstrings. I could feel it’s teeth, but I think it slid off my slidy, new leggings. I didn’t think there was any damage until I took my leggings off at home, the inside of which had a bit of blood on it, but leggings were intact. So I got off easy. But not really looking forward to running into that dog again!😬🐶

I hope everyone else on their walks had as beautiful weather as I had but that you had fewer dog bites to contend with.
And may you also have the pleasure of overtaking a tractor on your outings!!! 😃😉😄🚜💨
