It’s mid-month and time for another photowalk challenge! Here we go!
On your next walks, take a picture of something that provides your own answer to the question: “Is the summer over?”
One of the mornings last week, after a night of not being able to sleep, I still got out there for my walk-run-walk. But it was already a bit too late in the day, and the sun was glaring down. It was hot, and I was sweaty.
I had overtaken a dog walker, mentioning how hot this morning was. And she responded with, “Yes, summer, for this day only”. The next day it was raining again.
And in my muddled mind it got me thinking: is this the middle of the summer, or are we just experiencing the last sunny gasps of the end of summer’23?
The answer might be different depending where you are based. But let’s see if we can answer the question with a photo from our walks.
My current pictures include a squirrel enjoying early blackberries, an autumnally coloured leaf, rainy weather, and the dried, blackened field with white camomile flowers.
So feel free to post summer or not-summer things found on your walks as a separate post with the hashtag/word #Photowalk in the title of the post. (E.g. ”#Photowalk Summer: squirrel encounters” )
