I didn't walk yesterday as my foot was still a little sore with the P/F πBut the weather was good and I didn't want to loose another rehab exercise so decided to get the bike out π
Only 30 minutes but felt a little strange having not been on it for some time !
I just stayed local and cycled around some of my running routes but at least it gave me another workout .
The rehab is actually going well and I am feeling aerobically fitter than I have done for a while .
Still a few other little niggles but nothing worth worrying about (I hope π€£)
Next week I think will be very much weather dependent so we will see π

Well done Ian on getting on your bike and going for a 30 minutes bike ride, I am sure you enjoyed it, my bike is all ready for me to get on it and go a cycle ride on the many country B roads near to where I live, I also π΄ cycle on where I walk and run, I will start cycling come May, have a lovely Easter. π
Well done there Ian! I think thatβs a fantastic idea, although, yes, I bet it felt a little bit strange. I havenβt gotten my bike out in a long time and just know Iβd be very wobbly! Itβs a fantastic day for getting the wheels out π΄π½ bet it felt good π.
So nice to hear youβre feeling aerobically fitter π.
Great idea ... just be careful where it leads! I hadn't cycled for best part of 20 years until I found myself in an orthopaedic boot! I know that wobbly feeling π I grew to love cycling while I couldn't run, and ended up doing 100km sportives π.Having said that, I did read mixed things about whether or not it might exacerbate PF (which I got a mild case of when I came out of the boot). I only referred to the ever confusing Dr Google, but you may want to double check for yourself to be sure.
I had five months to build up from short rides ... and then carried on!!!I have to say I ignored the PF warnings too and tried to keep my foot stretched out as much as possible when riding. Cycling is a good stand in for running, nowhere near as energetic but at least it gets the air rushing past your face and you get to explore further too π
Hello Mr. Instructer, I actually donβt have a bike but I do walk a dog twice a week. The dog isnβt mine but he gets a walk for around an hour in the local park. He is a small dog, but my goodness he can pull on the lead as he is a pug and in general the breed is quite strong but by the time the βwalkβ is over he is a bit tired.
Well not exactly borrowed as such. I belong to a group of people that help others in our community. Walking this particular dog has been going on since Covid in UK. I do enjoy this activity as the dog is quite a lovely personality.
Fantastic youβve got the option to get on the bike as well as walking. Itβs amazing how one niggle can recruit a load of friends. Hopefully your PF will settle down soon. Now the bike is out, do you think youβll carry on with it? Round here is all hills and fast country lanes with high hedges so Iβm too much of a wimp to get on mine!
