#SmellWalk March Challenge - Take a City Smell Walk

We went into town yesterday, and down through the high street onto the quay. It was chilly, but fresh and crisp. There was a lovely fresh smell in the air. We watched the boats coming and going for a while (two police boats - what's that all about then?!). A bit later we saw two canoes going out for a paddle - I bet they get all the smells up close, being that near the water. The main thing I could smell was the fish and chips we treated ourselves to. Salt and vinegar on chips - is there anything better? I haven't had proper fish shop fish and chips for ages. We passed lots of Spring flowers on the walk back, through the more residential bit of the town but, funnily enough, not much scent to them. I think our dog could have written a much longer post, as he had his nose to the ground for most of the walk!
