#Photowalk January: running trainers nearing retirement!

My trusty running trainers become my trusty walking trainers on retirement. I bought these wonderful GT 2000s on graduation from couch to 5k and they’re getting a little tired. To be fair, they’re been a lot of places with me! I’ll be very sad when they’re no longer suitable for runs but it’s nice to stay friends for a good while afterwards.

I’ve got hiking boots for very long, muddy or walks over tricker terrain but most of my everyday walks are just done in trainers. This is us setting off in the sunshine together this afternoon. I haven’t done a wash in a few days and I was wishing my full length leggings were clean!

It was a lovely day for a walk-because it’s been so wet and grey, I think it made it extra nice. Cool breeze though! Very nippy around the ankles and I wished I’d worn gloves but that was only a minor thing. Just great to be out in the sunshine!

Those leggings are Sweaty Betty sale. Highly reduced with a 20% off voucher too. The only trouble is they’re my usual size but a different style so a little bit tight around the middle just after Christmas!
