October was #CelebrateParkWalk at Park Run…where walkers were actively encouraged to participate at their local Park Run.

The good news is that this encouragement is continuing as it’s proved very popular. There’s even new dedicated #ParkWalker volunteers.

Very true LottieMW! For various reasons I’ve walked a lot of parkruns (usually a bit quicker than the ones I’ve run!) and always enjoyed it. And it was a pleasure to be one of the first people at my local parkrun to don the blue bib!

what a nice read! And I’m so glad park-walking has become a thing now!

I had spotted the parkwalker volunteer role on my Parkwalk app, but although hubby and I had planned in a Oct Saturday to experience Nordic park-walking, various happenings got on the way.

So I still have this on my bucket list of things to do for a weekend.

Thanks so much for posting!
