Arrived at Bree

Hiya

The Shire is finished!

This is the first Conqueror challenge I did with walking, the ones before I did with running. But I don't run anymore now. It took me a while to finish this Shire challenge, but over time it has helped me in getting a bit of regularity in getting some kind of exercise. I now try to walk every day, even though it is on most days only 30 minutes / 2K each day. But for lazy old me this is a real succes.

I mostly walk on my treadmill and have installed a portable DVD player before the treadmill. So now I watch movies while walking, which is a big help in getting these 30 minutes of walking each day.

Next challenge is The Fellowship I think. Ad I might add some rides on my hometrainer / indoor bike besides my walks so I can mix exercise types.

Cheers,Evy

Yes, a bill to be paid 😶. But nothing from Gandalf unfortunately. Do hope to meet Strider though 😹

Woohoo!!! Awesome! I think that's brilliant! I've not done very much this week (1 run,1 S&F session) and feel very guilty. So I'm mightily impressed!

I have not done anything today either. I try each day to walk 2K, do some abs exercises and plank for 60 seconds. But today I did nothing. And honestly, they promise 40°C on Tuesday. I don't know if I won't just take a week off from exercises due to the heat...

Great well done on your Conqueror challenge and on your 30 min exercise every day. Was out a short walk this morning trying out new trail shoes only 25/mins. Not looking forward to this couple of days of heat.

Me neither. I don't like the cold, but I really suffer in the heat. Couple of years ago I got dehydrated and over-tired due to the heat in July. Doc wanted to write me home for a week to recuperate, but I could not stay home cuz lots of colleagues were on vacation. Dragged it along for months until I fell ill in November after all. Really have to push and remind myself to drinks lots of water. And to not push my body too hard in heavy heat.
